عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " الْحَدِيثُ عَلَى مَا تَعْرِفُونَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ رَوْحُ بْنُ صَلَاحٍ ، وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ وَالْحَاكِمُ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ ابْنُ عَدِيٍّ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ رَوْحُ بْنُ صَلَاحٍ ، وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ وَالْحَاكِمُ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ ابْنُ عَدِيٍّ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Speech is to be taken in the sense that you are familiar with."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Rawh bin Salah, whom Ibn Hibban and Imam al-Hakim (may Allah have mercy on him) declared thiqah (trustworthy), while Ibn Adi declared him da'if (weak); the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
