وَعَنْ عُرْوَةَ الْبَارِقِيِّ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " عُمْرَةٌ فِي رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ جَابِرٌ الْجُعْفِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ كَثِيرٌ وَقَدْ وَثَّقَهُ شُعْبَةُ وَسُفْيَانُ .

Sayyiduna Urwah al-Bariqi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Performing Umrah in Ramadan is equal to a Hajj."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Jabir al-Ju'fi, about whom there has been much criticism; Shu'bah and Sufyan declared him thiqah (trustworthy).
