بَابُ الدَّفْعِ مِنْ عَرَفَةَ وَالْمُزْدَلِفَةِ .

Majma al-Zawaid 5559 — Departing from Arafah and Muzdalifah
عَنِ الْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ قَالَ : خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعَرَفَاتٍ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ : " أَمَّا بَعْدُ ، فَإِنَّ أَهْلَ الشِّرْكِ وَالْأَوْثَانِ كَانُوا يَدْفَعُونَ مِنْ هَذَا الْمَوْضِعِ إِذَا كَانَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى رُءُوسِ الْجِبَالِ ، كَأَنَّهَا عَمَائِمُ الرِّجَالِ فِي وُجُوهِهَا ، وَإِنَّا نَدْفَعُ بَعْدَ أَنْ تَغِيبَ " . وَكَانُوا يَدْفَعُونَ مِنَ الْمَشْعَرِ الْحَرَامِ إِذَا كَانَتِ الشَّمْسُ مُنْبَسِطَةً .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna al-Miswar bin Makhramah (may Allah be pleased with him) states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed us at Arafat. After praising and extolling Allah Almighty, he said: "To proceed: the polytheists and idol-worshippers used to depart from this place when the sun was on the tops of the mountains, like the turbans of men. But we will depart after it has set. They used to depart from al-Mash'ar al-Haram when the sun('s light) had spread."
