Abd al-Aziz bin Qays al-Abdi states: I heard Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) say: On the day of Arafah, a certain man was riding behind the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on his mount. The young man began to glance at the women and look at them, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned his face away several times with his blessed hand from behind him, but the young man kept looking at the women. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "O my nephew, this is a day on which whoever controls his hearing, his sight and his tongue will be forgiven."
Ahmad and Abu Ya'la recorded it, and al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, where he said: "Sayyiduna al-Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) was riding behind the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." The narrators of Ahmad are thiqat (trustworthy).
