وَعَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ قَالَ : خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُجَّاجًا فَأَهْلَلْنَا بِالْحَجِّ فَلَمَّا قَدِمْنَا مَكَّةَ فَأَمَرَنَا أَنْ نَجْعَلَهَا عُمْرَةً .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ مُوَثَّقُونَ .

Sayyiduna Sahl bin Hunayf (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We set out with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to perform Hajj. We entered ihram for Hajj, and when we came to Makkah, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered us to make it an Umrah.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
