Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 5372

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Jibril came to me and instructed me to recite the talbiyah aloud."
Ahmad recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Ja'far bin Ayyash, who is one of the Tabi'un of the people of Madinah; Abu Hazim Salamah bin Dinar narrated from him, and no one has criticised him. The remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.
