Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 5330

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates concerning this saying of Allah Almighty: (Allah, the Exalted, says:) "Hajj is (in) well-known months." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: They are Shawwal, Dhu al-Qa'dah and Dhu al-Hijjah; Hajj is made obligatory only in them (that is, ihram for Hajj may be entered only in these months).
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains al-Mufaddal bin Sadaqah, who is matruk (abandoned).
