وَعَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " النَّفَقَةُ فِي الْحَجِّ كَالنَّفَقَةِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِسَبْعِمِائَةِ ضِعْفٍ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو زُهَيْرٍ ; وَلَمْ أَجِدْ مَنْ ذَكَرَهُ .

Sayyiduna Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Spending in Hajj is like spending in the path of Allah: its reward is seven hundred times over."
Imam Ahmad recorded it, and Imam al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Abu Zuhayr; I have not found anyone who mentions him.
