بَابُ صِيَامِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ .

وَعَنْ هُنَيْدَةَ الْخُزَاعِيِّ عَنْ أُمِّهِ قَالَتْ : دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَسَأَلْتُهَا عَنِ الصِّيَامِ ؟ فَقَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُنِي أَنْ أَصُومَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ ; أَوَّلُهَا الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْجُمُعَةُ وَالْخَمِيسُ .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ النَّسَائِيُّ خَلَا : وَالْجُمُعَةُ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَأُمُّ هُنَيْدَةَ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهَا .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ النَّسَائِيُّ خَلَا : وَالْجُمُعَةُ .

Hunaydah al-Khuza'i narrates this statement of his mother: I went to Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) and asked her about fasting. She said: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to instruct me to fast three days every month, beginning with Monday, then Friday and Thursday. (Allamah Haythami says:) I say:
Al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) recorded it, but without the words: "Friday".
Ahmad recorded it, and I do not know Umm Hunaydah.
