وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا صَامَ مَنْ صَامَ الْأَبَدَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ عُبَيْدَةُ بْنُ مُعَتِّبٍ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The one who fasts (voluntary fasts) perpetually has not fasted."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Ubaydah bin Mu'attib, and he is matruk (abandoned).
