وَعَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ صَامَ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ غُفِرَ لَهُ سَنَتَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَتَيْنِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُ أَبِي يَعْلَى رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever fasts on the day of Arafah, the sins of two consecutive years are forgiven for him."
