بَابٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ : الرَّيَّانُ لَا يَدْخُلُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَّا الصَّائِمُونَ " .

وَعَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ زَكَاةٌ ; وَزَكَاةُ الْجَسَدِ الصَّوْمُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ حَمَّادُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Everything has a zakah, and the zakah of the body is fasting."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Hammad bin al-Walid, who is da'if (weak).
