Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I was asleep in the month of Ramadan when someone came to me in my dream, and it was said to me: "Tonight is Laylat al-Qadr." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I got up while I was drowsy. I took hold of one of the ropes of a tent, which was the tent of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Then I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was praying. I looked into that night, and it was the twenty-third night.
Ahmad and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir recorded it, and the narrators of Ahmad are the narrators of the Sahih.
