Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 4982

Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Sinan al-Ashja'i (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by me while I was being cupped; this was on the eighteenth of the month of Ramadan. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The fast of the one who cups and the one who is cupped is broken.
Ahmad and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir recorded it. Its chain contains Ata bin al-Sa'ib, who suffered from confusion (ikhtilat) in his memory.
