Sayyidah Umm Ishaq (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: Once she was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). A bowl of tharid was brought, and she ate from it along with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Sayyiduna Dhu al-Yadayn (may Allah be pleased with him) was also with him (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) handed that woman a bone with meat on it and said: O Umm Ishaq, take this too. Sayyidah Umm Ishaq (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I remembered that I was fasting. My hands went cold; I could neither move my hand forward nor draw it back. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: What is the matter with you? She said: I was fasting, and I forgot. Sayyiduna Dhu al-Yadayn (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Now you remember, after you have eaten your fill? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Complete your fast! This was provision that Allah Almighty sent to you.
Imam Ahmad and Imam al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir recorded this narration. Its chain contains a narrator, Umm Hakim; I have not found anyone who gave this woman's biography.
