Book of Fasting
بَابٌ فِيمَنْ فَطَّرَ صَائِمًا .
One who provides a fasting person with food to break his fast

وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ فَطَّرَ صَائِمًا كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَنْتَقِصَ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ شَيْئًا ، وَمَا عُمِلَ مِنْ أَعْمَالِ الْبِرِّ شَيْءٌ إِلَّا كَانَ أَجْرُهُ لِصَاحِبِ الطَّعَامِ مَا كَانَ قُوَّةُ الطَّعَامِ [ فِيهِ ] " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَيْلِيُّ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Sayyidah Aishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever gives a fasting person (food) to break his fast with receives a reward like the reward of the fasting person, without the fasting person's reward being diminished in any way. Whatever good deed is done, the one who provided the food receives its reward for as long as the strength of (that) food remains in that fasting person."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, al-Hakam bin Abdullah al-Ayli, and he is matruk (abandoned).
