Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 4838

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: When the month of Ramadan began, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would release every captive and give to everyone who asked.
Al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains Abu Bakr al-Hudhali, who is da'if (weak). (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Hadiths about giving charity while fasting, visiting the sick, or attending a funeral will come later, if Allah wills.
