وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي الْهُذَيْلِ قَالَ : دَخَلْنَا عَلَى خَبَّابٍ فَرَأَيْتُ فِي بَيْتِهِ دَرَاهِمَ مَكْشُوفَةً فَقُلْتُ : مَا هَذِهِ ؟ قَالَ : بِعْتُ ضَيْعَتِي الْفُلَانِيَّةَ وَقَدْ أَنْفَقْتُهَا مَا أَرَى أَحَدًا أَحَقَّ بِهِ مِنِّي . .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ رَجُلٌ لَمْ يُسَمَّ .

Abdullah bin Abi al-Hudhayl narrates: We went to Sayyiduna Khabbab (may Allah be pleased with him), and I saw dirhams lying uncovered in his house, so I asked: "What is this?" He said: "I sold such-and-such land of mine. I will spend it, because I do not think anyone has more right to it than I do."
