وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : تُوُفِّيَ رَجُلٌ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَلَمْ يُوجَدْ لَهُ كَفَنٌ ، فَأَتَى النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : " انْظُرُوا إِلَى دَاخِلَةِ إِزَارِهِ " . فَأُصِيبَ دِينَارٌ أَوْ دِينَارَانِ . فَقَالَ : " كَيَّتَانِ " .
In one narration the wording is: In the blessed time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), a man passed away and no shroud could be found for him. A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: "Look inside the inner part of his waist-wrapper." One or two dinars were found there, and he said: "These are two things to be branded with."
