Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 4629

Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw that I kept no wealth, but spent it, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: O Jarir! There is no harm upon you if you keep your wealth with you, for this matter has a term (that is, life still remains).
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain contains a narrator, Amr bin Abd al-Ghaffar, and he is da'if (weak).
