Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: Some Bedouins came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at midday, with swords hanging from their shoulders and wearing coarse garments. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) encouraged the people (to give) for them, and said: "Let the one who has dinars give charity from his dinars, the one who has dirhams from his dirhams, the one who has wheat from his wheat, the one who has barley from his barley, and the one who has dates from his dates, before a day comes upon him when he will look in front of him and see nothing but the Fire, he will look to his right and see nothing but the Fire, he will look to his left and see nothing but the Fire, and he will look behind him and see nothing but the Fire."
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Part of it is transmitted in the Sahih. Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, al-Hasan bin Abi Ja'far al-Jufri, and he is da'if (weak).
