Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 4556

Sayyiduna Khalid bin Adi al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "When a person receives something from his brother without asking and without greed, he should accept it and not reject it, for it is provision that Allah Almighty has sent to him."
Ahmad, Abu Ya'la and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir recorded it, except that those two have these words: "Whoever receives some kindness from his brother." Ahmad has the wording "an akhihi" (from his brother). The narrators of Ahmad are the narrators of the Sahih.
