وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ هَذَا الْمَالَ خَضِرَةٌ حُلْوَةٌ ، فَمَنْ أَخَذَهُ - قَالَ يَحْيَى : ذَكَرَ شَيْئًا لَا أَدْرِي مَا هُوَ ؟ - بِوُرِكَ لَهُ فِيهِ ، وَرُبَّ مُتَخَوِّضٍ فِي مَالِ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ فِيمَا اشْتَهَتْ نَفْسُهُ لَهُ النَّارُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ دَاوُدُ الْعَطَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ .
قُلْتُ : وَتَأْتِي أَحَادِيثُ نَحْوُ هَذَا فِي الزُّهْدِ ، إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ دَاوُدُ الْعَطَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ .
قُلْتُ : وَتَأْتِي أَحَادِيثُ نَحْوُ هَذَا فِي الزُّهْدِ ، إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, this wealth is green and sweet. So whoever acquires it (the narrator Yahya says: After that he mentioned some words, but I did not understand what they were) (after this the narration continues with these words:) will be blessed in it. And there are some people who covet the wealth of Allah and His Messenger; they will have the Fire on the Day of Resurrection."
Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Dawud al-Attar, and there is criticism concerning him. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Other hadiths of this kind will come later in the chapter on asceticism (zuhd), if Allah wills.
