وَعَنْ مَيْمُونَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ قَالَ : قِيلَ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ : إِنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ حَارِثَةَ قَدْ مَاتَ . فَقَالَ : رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ . فَقِيلَ : يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، إِنَّهُ قَدْ تَرَكَ مِائَةَ أَلْفٍ . فَقَالَ : لَكِنَّهَا لَمْ تَتْرُكْهُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Maymun bin Mihran narrates: It was said to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): "Zayd bin Harithah has passed away." He said: "May Allah Almighty have mercy on him." It was said to him: "O Abu Abd al-Rahman, he has left behind one hundred thousand (dirhams or dinars)." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "But it did not leave him."
