وَعَنْ مُجَمِّعِ بْنِ جَارِيَةَ قَالَ : خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي جِنَازَةٍ مِنْ بَنِي عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى الْمَقْبَرَةِ فَقَالَ : " السَّلَامُ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْقُبُورِ " ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ . " مَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمِينَ . أَنْتُمْ لَنَا فَرَطٌ ، وَنَحْنُ لَكُمْ تَبَعٌ ، عَافَانَا اللَّهُ وَإِيَّاكُمْ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ ، وَقَدْ وُثِّقَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ ، وَقَدْ وُثِّقَ .
Sayyiduna Mujammi' bin Jariyah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) attended a funeral of Banu Amr bin Awf. When he came to the graveyard, he said: "Peace be upon the people of the graves." He said this three times. (Then he said:) "Whoever among you is a believer and a Muslim: you have gone ahead of us, and we are following after you. May Allah Almighty grant us and you well-being."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Isma'il bin Ayyash; he has been criticised, and he has also been declared trustworthy.
