وَعَنْ ثَوْبَانَ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ فَزُورُوهَا ، وَاجْعَلُوا زِيَارَتَكُمْ لَهَا صَلَاةً عَلَيْهِمْ ، وَاسْتِغْفَارًا لَهُمْ ، وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ فَكُلُوا مِنْهَا وَادَّخِرُوا ، وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَمَّا يُنْبَذُ فِي الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالنَّقِيرِ فَانْتَبِذُوا وَانْتَفِعُوا بِهَا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ يَزِيدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ الرَّحْبِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I had forbidden you from visiting graves; now visit them, and make your visit to them a prayer of mercy for them and a supplication for their forgiveness. And I had forbidden you from consuming the meat of sacrificial animals after three days; now eat from it and also store it. And I had forbidden you from what is prepared as nabidh in gourds (dubba'), green glazed jars (hantam) and hollowed-out stumps (naqir); now prepare nabidh (in these vessels) and benefit from them."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains Yazid bin Rabi'ah al-Rahabi, who is da'if (weak).
