Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 4234

Safwan bin Amr al-Saksaki narrates: We attended a funeral, and the family of the deceased wanted to lower him into the grave from the side of the qiblah. So Karb al-Yahsubi related that Sayyiduna al-Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every house has a door, and the door of the grave is on the side of the feet."
Imam Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a group of narrators who are not known.
