Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 4224

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to offer the funeral prayer for Abdullah bin Ubayy, but Sayyiduna Jibril (peace be upon him) (the word is like this in the printed edition, though other narrations mention that the one who held his (peace and blessings be upon him) garment was Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)) took hold of his garment and said: "Do not offer the funeral prayer for any of them, and do not stand at his grave."
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Yazid al-Raqashi, about whom there is criticism, though he has also been declared trustworthy.
