وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مَرَّتْ بِهِ جِنَازَةُ يَهُودِيٍّ فَقَامَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّهَا جِنَازَةُ يَهُودِيٍّ ؟ فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ لِلْمَوْتِ فَزَعًا " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
قُلْتُ : وَلِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عِنْدَ النَّسَائِيِّ فِي الْقِيَامِ لِلْجِنَازَةِ غَيْرُ هَذَا .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
قُلْتُ : وَلِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عِنْدَ النَّسَائِيِّ فِي الْقِيَامِ لِلْجِنَازَةِ غَيْرُ هَذَا .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The funeral of a Jew passed by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he stood up. It was said: "O Messenger of Allah! This is the funeral of a Jew." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Death has a terror."
Ahmad recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).
Allamah al-Haythami says: I say: Al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) recorded a narration from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) about standing for a funeral, and it is other than this one.
