بَابٌ فِيمَنْ لَمْ يُقَدِّمْ وَلَدًا وَلَا غَيْرَهُ .

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا تَعُدُّونَ الرَّقُوبَ فِيكُمْ ؟ " قَالُوا : الَّذِي لَا وَلَدَ لَهُ . قَالَ : " بَلِ الَّذِي لَا فَرَطَ لَهُ " .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whom do you count as 'raqub' among you?" The people said: "The one who has no children." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No, rather the raqub is the one none of whose children has died."
