وَعَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِنَّ أَكْبَرَ الْكَبَائِرِ الْإِشْرَاكُ بِاللَّهِ ، وَعُقُوقُ الْوَالِدَيْنِ ، وَمَنْعُ فَضْلِ الْمَاءِ ، وَمَنْعُ الْفَحْلِ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ صَالِحُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ وَلَمْ يُوَثِّقْهُ أَحَدٌ .

Sayyiduna Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The greatest of the major sins are: associating partners with Allah Almighty, disobedience to parents, withholding surplus water, and withholding a stud animal (for breeding)."
