بَابُ عَرْضِ أَعْمَالِ الْأَحْيَاءِ عَلَى الْأَمْوَاتِ .

عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّ أَعْمَالَكُمْ تُعْرَضُ عَلَى أَقَارِبِكُمْ وَعَشَايِرِكُمْ مِنَ الْأَمْوَاتِ فَإِنْ كَانَ خَيْرًا اسْتَبْشَرُوا وَإِنْ كَانَ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ قَالُوا : اللَّهُمَّ لَا تُمِتْهُمْ حَتَّى تَهْدِيَهُمْ كَمَا هَدَيْتِنَا " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَفِيهِ رَجُلٌ لَمْ يُسَمَّ .
قُلْتُ : وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ حَدِيثُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ فِي الْبَابِ قَبْلَ هَذَا .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَفِيهِ رَجُلٌ لَمْ يُسَمَّ .
قُلْتُ : وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ حَدِيثُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ فِي الْبَابِ قَبْلَ هَذَا .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your deeds are presented to your close relatives and family members who have died. If the deeds are good, they rejoice, and if they are otherwise, they say: 'O Allah! Do not cause them to die until You guide them as You guided us.'"
Ahmad recorded it, and its chain contains a narrator who has not been named. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: The hadith narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) has already passed in the preceding chapter.
