عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَمْ يَلْقَ ابْنُ آدَمَ شَيْئًا قَطُّ مُنْذُ خَلَقَهُ اللَّهَ أَشَدَّ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ " ، قَالَ : " ثُمَّ إِنَّ الْمَوْتَ لَأَهْوَنُ مِمَّا بَعْدَهُ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ مُوَثَّقُونَ .

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Since Allah Almighty created the son of Adam, he has never faced anything harder for him than death." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yet death is easier compared with what comes after it."
