بَابٌ فِي الطَّاعُونِ وَالثَّابِتِ فِيهِ وَالْفَارِّ مِنْهُ .

وَعَنْ زَيْدَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ : ذُكِرَ الطَّاعُونُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : " إِنَّهُ رِجْسٌ أَصَابَ مَنْ قَبْلَكُمْ فَإِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ بِهِ بِبَلَدٍ فَلَا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَيْهِ ، وَإِذَا وَقَعَ بِبَلَدٍ وَأَنْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَخْرُجُوا فِرَارًا مِنْهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The plague was mentioned in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: "It is an affliction that befell those before you. When you hear that it has come to a city, do not go there; and when it comes to the city where you are, do not leave it fleeing from it."
