Book of Funerals
بَابُ مَا اخْتَلَجَ عِرْقٌ إِلَّا بِذَنْبٍ 3755 عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَا اخْتَلَجَ عِرْقٌ وَلَا عَيْنٌ إِلَّا بِذَنْبٍ ، وَمَا يَغْفِرُ اللَّهُ أَكْثَرُ " .

عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَا اخْتَلَجَ عِرْقٌ وَلَا عَيْنٌ إِلَّا بِذَنْبٍ ، وَمَا يَغْفِرُ اللَّهُ أَكْثَرُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ وَفِيهِ الصَّلْتُ بْنُ بَهْرَامَ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ كَانَ مُرْجِئًا .

Sayyiduna al-Bara' bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No vein or eye falls into disorder except because of a sin, and what Allah Almighty forgives is more."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir. Its chain contains al-Salt bin Bahram, who is thiqah (trustworthy), except that he was a Murji'.
