Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A Bedouin came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "When did you last have Umm Mildam?" He asked: "What is Umm Mildam?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A heat that occurs between the skin and the bones, and it sucks the blood and eats the flesh." He said: "This illness has never afflicted me." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever wishes to see a person of Hell should look at this man." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Take him away from me."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains al-Hasan bin Abi Ja'far. Amr bin Ali said: He is saduq (truthful) and munkar al-hadith (his hadiths are denounced). Ibn Adi said: He is saduq (truthful); he is one of those who do not deliberately lie, and sound (salih) hadiths are reported from him.
