Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 3625

Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Whoever recites three verses of Surah al-Baqarah has done much and done well.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains Yahya bin Amr bin Salamah, and I did not find anyone who has given his biography; the rest of the narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: A narration from this Companion on this subject is also reported, which will come later in the chapter on Surah al-Baqarah, and another will come in the chapter on 'What a person should recite in the morning and in the evening', if Allah wills.
