Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever recites one hundred verses in a night will not be counted among the heedless (al-ghafilin); whoever recites two hundred verses, his name will be recorded among the devoutly obedient (al-qanitin); whoever recites from one thousand to five hundred verses, a qintar of reward will be recorded for him, and one qirat of that qintar will be like a great hill."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains Musa bin Ubaydah al-Rabadhi, in whom weakness predominates; the statements of Ahmad and Yahya bin Ma'in about this narrator differ.
