Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 3597

Sayyiduna al-Bayadi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out to the people while they were praying, and their voices had become loud in recitation. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one praying is in intimate conversation with his Lord, so let him consider how he is conversing with Him. And do not raise your voices over one another in reciting the Qur'an!"
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
