Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 3556

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: A man said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "So-and-so prays (voluntary prayer at night), and when morning comes, he steals." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What (prayer) he recites will soon restrain him (from stealing)."
This narration was recorded by Imam al-Bazzar, and its narrators are "thiqat" (trustworthy).
