Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever claims to be the child of someone other than his father will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise, although its fragrance can be perceived from a distance of 70 years (the narrator is in doubt, or perhaps the words are:) from a distance of seventy years' travel."
(Allamah Haythami says:) I say: Ibn Majah also recorded it, but he narrated these words: "It can be perceived from a distance of five hundred years' travel."
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
