Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 3447

Sayyiduna Sulayman bin Surad (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Use the miswak, attain cleanliness and perform the witr, for indeed Allah Almighty is Witr (One), and He loves the witr."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Isma'il bin Amr al-Bajali, whom Imam Abu Hatim, Imam al-Daraqutni (may Allah have mercy on him) and Ibn Adi declared da'if (weak); Ibn Hibban declared him thiqah (trustworthy), and Ibrahim bin Awramah mentioned him and praised him.
