Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 3445

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed, Allah Almighty is Witr (One), and He loves the witr (what is odd)." Nafi' says: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would not do anything except in an odd number.
Imam Ahmad and al-Bazzar recorded this narration, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
