عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ : إِنِّي لَتَحْتَ رَاحِلَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ ، فَقَالَ قَوْلًا حَسَنًا جَمِيلًا ، فَكَانَ فِيمَا قَالَ : " مَنْ أَسْلَمَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ فَلَهُ أَجْرُهُ مَرَّتَيْنِ ، وَلَهُ مَا لَنَا وَعَلَيْهِ مَا عَلَيْنَا ، وَمَنْ أَسْلَمَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَلَهُ أَجْرُهُ ، وَلَهُ مَا لَنَا وَعَلَيْهِ مَا عَلَيْنَا " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ الْقَاسِمُ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَقَدْ ضَعَّفَهُ أَحْمَدُ وَغَيْرُهُ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ الْقَاسِمُ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، وَقَدْ ضَعَّفَهُ أَحْمَدُ وَغَيْرُهُ .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) states: On the occasion of the Conquest of Makkah, I was beneath the mount of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) gave a fine address, and among what he (peace and blessings be upon him) said was this: "Whoever among the People of the Book becomes Muslim will receive a double reward; he will have all the rights that we (that is, the Muslims) have, and all that is binding upon us (that is, the Muslims) will be binding upon him. Whoever among the polytheists becomes Muslim will receive a single reward; he will have all the rights that we have, and all that is binding upon us will be binding upon him."
Imam Ahmad and al-Tabarani (in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir) recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, al-Qasim Abu Abd al-Rahman, whom Imam Ahmad and others declared da'if (weak).
