Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Do not abandon the (sunnah) prayer before the Fajr prayer, for in those two (rak'ahs) there is much to be desired." I also heard him (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Do not disown your child, otherwise Allah Almighty will disgrace you before all of creation just as you disgraced that child in this world." I also heard him (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Do not die while you owe a debt, for (in the Hereafter) the exchange will be in good deeds and bad deeds. There will be no dinar or dirham there; in both recompense and settlement (the exchange will be in good and bad deeds). And Allah Almighty does not wrong anyone."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains Abd al-Rahim bin Yahya, who is da'if (weak). Ahmad recorded this part of it: "Keep up the two rak'ahs of Fajr regularly, for in them there is much to be desired." The chain of this narration contains a narrator who is not named.
