Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 3291

Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed for rain, he would say: "O Allah, send down upon our land its blessing, its adornment and its tranquillity." In one narration the words are: "Grant us provision, for indeed You are the best of providers."
Al-Tabarani recorded both narrations in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and al-Bazzar recorded it in abridged form; its chain is hasan (good) or sahih (authentic).
