Book of the Two Eids
بَابُ الصَّلَاةِ قَبْلَ الْعِيدِ وَبَعْدَهَا 3230 عَنْ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ وَالْحَسَنَ يُصَلِّيَانِ يَوْمَ الْعِيدِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ الْإِمَامُ قَالَ : وَرَأَيْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ سِيرِينَ جَاءَ فَجَلَسَ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى .

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ : التَّكْبِيرُ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ أَرْبَعًا كَالصَّلَاةِ عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: In the two Eids, four takbirs are to be said, as in the funeral prayer.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
