Majma al-Zawaid 3128 — Keeping silent while the imam is delivering

Sayyiduna Samurah reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you come to the Friday prayer, stay close to the imam, listen attentively to the sermon, and do not engage in idle talk." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Abu Dawud narrated part of this narration.
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains al-Hakam bin Abd al-Malik, who is da'if (weak).
