Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 3117

Sayyiduna Jabir narrates: When the sun had passed the meridian, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would offer the Friday prayer; then when we went back, we would find no shade in which we could take shelter.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Yahya bin Sulayman, whom Ibn Khirash declared da'if (weak). Ibn Sa'id narrated from him and used to speak highly of him. Ibn Hibban mentioned him in al-Thiqat and said that he makes mistakes.
