وَعَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَنْ غَسَّلَ وَاغْتَسَلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَغَدَا وَابْتَكَرَ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ قَرِيبًا مِنَ الْإِمَامِ فَاسْتَمَعَ وَأَنْصَتَ كَانَ لَهُ بِكُلِّ خُطْوَةٍ خَطَاهَا عَمَلُ سَنَةٍ ؛ صِيَامُهَا وَقِيَامُهَا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ الضَّحَّاكِ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever on Friday takes a ritual bath, washes his head, goes early, sits close to the imam, listens attentively to the sermon and remains silent, receives in return for every single step he takes the reward of a year's deeds, that is, of a whole year's fasting and night prayer."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Wahhab bin al-Dahhak, and he is matruk (abandoned).
